Britni Tantalo founded the New York Cannabis Retail Association (NYCRA) driven by her passion to support new dispensary owners in New York. Recognizing the challenges faced by newcomers in navigating the complex cannabis industry, she envisioned NYCRA as a platform to connect these entrepreneurs with established networks and resources. Her goal was to create a community that not only accelerates the launch and growth of new dispensaries but also fosters a collaborative environment where members can share knowledge and best practices for mutual success.

Britni Tantalo co-founded Flower City Hydroponics in Fairport, NY, which specializes in supplying equipment for indoor and outdoor cannabis cultivation. She also co-founded MetaVega Corporation, a company that manufactures, wholesales, and distributes indoor growing equipment and cannabis extraction products to hydroponic retail stores and smoke shops across the United States. As a minority woman in New York State seeking a CAURD retail dispensary license through Flower City Dispensary, Britni champions sustainable and equitable industry practices.

Additionally, she is the co-founder and President of the New York CAURD Coalition, which strives to offer educational opportunities and resource access for a fair cannabis industry. Britni, who holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA in accounting from St. John Fisher College, balances her professional ambitions with her life as a wife and mother of two, all while nurturing her passion for the cannabis sector.
